1.  What strategies (documentation) are already in place to meet this standard:

-NeSa, NWEA, Lexia and MAPS give trend comparisons of each student as they progress and grow from grade to grade.

-Data parties in which results are input and discussed.Color coded spreadsheet  with Exceeds, Meets, On, Below, Full Year Below Benchmark

2.  If you rated 3 or below on this standard, what resources/support is needed to improve:

-Continue data parties, collaborating with grade/ team level to discuss results

-Collaborating with grade level teachers above and below your own grade level. Using the resource provided from NWEA des carte (spelling?) to break the student instruction.

-Discussing results school wide as an PLG’s (Elementary teams).

-Time given to discuss and interpret results.

3.  List your topics of discussion today:

-Teachers consistently collect data and need more improvement in the analyze element of the data but we struggle applying learning from all data.

-We do not use data collectively to drive instruction as well as we can.

4.  Do you have any questions or concerns related to this standard:

-Needing more time to collaborate with co-workers to discuss and evaluate student data and design further curriculum and plans for student learning.

-Driving instruction by applying learning from data and trends from resources

5.  If necessary, what are the next steps we should take to meet this standard (set goals):

-We need to recognize the importance and relevance of the trend comparisons as a reflection of instruction and drive for intervention.

Q2___4__ We get great data print outs that clearly provide a comprehensive picture of student learning.

-School and teacher receive data back from standardized tests to analyze

2.  If you rated 3 or below on this standard, what resources/support is needed to improve:

-Teachers actually receiving the data that is collected and learning how to interpret the data

-Having “Data Parties” where teachers/everyone looks at the data and discusses the data

3.  List your topics of discussion today:

-Being able to use the data collected and teachers be given time to discuss the data to become better teachers and better help students in their classes

4.  Do you have any questions or concerns related to this standard:

We know that data is out there and it is collected, but what can be done to better understand this data and actually use it.

5.  If necessary, what are the next steps we should take to meet this standard (set goals):

-Receive more feedback/analysis of the scores and information of standardized tests

-Being able to interpret and use the data found to determine what is best for students and how to become a better teacher

-Everyone needs to be included to understand data and improve teaching and student learning

– we have had in services, we have looked at data with testing, etc.,  and what they struggle with, etc.

Q2___2__

    – they don’t provide a complete picture

    – Look into files to check test scores

Q3__2___

– we use data to look at improvements, but we don’t do anything else with the data after we look at it as a group

    – vague, not useful (potentially changed dramatically)

Potential Evidence:

– In services: we have already looked at data with testing, ect and what they struggle with

– Look into files to check test scores

– Ask an administrator -> What are the protocols? What are the procedures?

– Data Parties, Students on Eligible list . . . We don’t do that as a group or look over it
