Keeping you informed is a top priority at Fort Calhoun Community Schools. That is why we have adopted the ALERTNOW Notification Service, which allows the District to send a telephone or e-mail message with important information about school events or emergencies. We will use ALERTNOW to notify you of school delays, early dismissals, and/or cancellations due to inclement weather, as well as remind you about various events. This system will also be used in the case of a dire, school-wide emergency.
Receiving ALERTNOW Calls:
- Caller ID will display the school’s main number when a general announcement is delivered.
- Caller ID will display 411 if the message is a dire, school-wide emergency.
- ALERTNOW will leave a message on any answering machine or voicemail.
- If the ALERTNOW message stops playing, press any key 1-9 to replay the message from the beginning.
The successful delivery of information is dependent upon accurate contact information for each family. Please make certain the District has your most current phone number(s) and e-mail address(es). We take the contact information provided on the Student Profile form and enter it into the ALERTNOW data base. We take the information from the following fields on the form, phone, e-mail address (we enter these as your Primary contact information), Father’s cell, Mother’s cell and emergency contact phones and e-mails are entered as secondary contact information. If this information changes during the year, please call school to update.
We currently send messages to all contact numbers and e-mail addresses provided.
