1.  What strategies (documentation) are already in place to meet this standard:

Question 1- We believe that our school leader has clear expectations for maintaining safety and a clean and healthy environment. Our janitors are great and we each complete ALICAP safety training each month. We have routine fire, tornado, and intruder drills and lockdowns.

We are all certified in CPR.

Question 2-  We believe that many things are in place to help students and staff maintain safety and healthy expectations.  We have had bully prevention assemblies, handwashing class, a school nurse with certain protocols. Teachers receive asthma and EPIPEN and ALICAP training.

Question 3-  Valid measures are in place that allow for tracking of these conditions. (Nurse has a list of who is trained in CPR, Nurse trains all staff yearly on asthma protocol, principal has a list of all school drills and assemblies, ALICAP certificates are given upon completion.)

Question 4-  Our school district has a Safety Committee that meets to plan and implement safety training and procedures.

Question 5-  Results are evaluated by administrators, school nurse, and Safety Committee.
