Welcome to Fort Calhoun Jr/Sr High School. My name is Jerry Green and I serve as the secondary principal. I took over this position in 2010, prior to that I served as the assistant principal/AD for two years. I began my career at Fort Calhoun in the fall of 1994 when I was hired as the secondary social science teacher. During my fourteen years in the classroom I also served as an assistant track and football coach for three years, assistant boys basketball for fourteen years and head 
football coach for eleven years. I received my undergrad degree from Dana College and my master’s degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Fort Calhoun is a small school on the cutting edge of education. We offer many dual enrollment college credit courses along with other opportunities for students to earn college credit while in high school. In the fall of 2011 Fort Calhoun High School instituted a 1:1 program using iPads. We were a pioneer in using iPad technology at such a wide level. In the fall of 2016 we included our junior high in our 1:1 program. Our iPad technology has increased student engagement and changed the way we deliver curriculum in the classroom. We have a highly committed staff and student population that has thrived with this 21st century educational tool.
