Bus Scheduling and Routing
School bus stops and routes will be determined by the transportation director and school officials, and will be based upon efficiency, safety, board policy and applicable state and federal laws and rules.
Buses will travel on approved routes with appropriately licensed drivers. Roads traveled will be those maintained by either Douglas or Washington Counties. Routes will be arranged in a manner that keeps rider time to a minimum.
Under certain circumstances, conditions may not allow pick up of a student at his/her residence drive. In event that this is the case, transportation staff will attempt to notify parents of the situation, and the vehicle will travel as close to the student’s residence as prudent safety procedures dictate.
