Q: What is Quiz Bowl?
A: Using a buzzer system, teams of 4 students go head-to-head against students from other schools to see who can answer the most questions in 20 minutes.
Q: What kind of questions are asked?
A: Questions are random and cover a range of topics including math, biology, zoology, physiology, anatomy, chemistry, history, politics, literature, sports, and more.
Q: Do I need to be an expert in all those subjects?
A: No, students are often really knowledgeable about 1 subject area.
Q: When is quiz bowl practice?
A: Students practice once a week during their lunch period in Mr. Shields’ classroom (Room 1141). The weekly schedule can be found on the Google Classroom site.
