COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Chemistry is the study of the characteristics and chemical changes of matter. Many areas are covered such as: measurement, data analysis, data presentation, atomic and molecular structure, the periodic table, chemical reactions, kinetic theory, stoichiometry, and the properties of solutions. There is a large mathematical component involved in this course. Laboratory techniques and safety are stressed in this class. An extremely valuable class for anyone considering a career in any science, medical, or engineering field.
