SCHEDULE of Performances

Here is a schedule of the major activities for the Junior High Band:

A pdf copy of the schedule for the season is posted above.  You may also use find dates on the school’s master digital calendar.  You can use the filter to find just the Junior High Band Schedule.   It WILL NOT contain the Pep Band performances during the first quarter.

Our FIRST PERFORMANCES are as a Pep Band for the Varsity Football games.  Weather permitting, the Band will play at all HOME Varsity Football games.  The first game is the 2019-20 season is on September 6, followed by another game the following week on September 13.   After a week away, there is another home game on September 27.  The season then concludes with two home games back to back on 10/11 (Homecoming) and 10/18.

Our next performance will the Christmas Season Concert on December 15, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

What’s happening in Class!

FIFTH GRADE….

We are continuing to work on our technique, our note accuracy, and our endurance.  We are discussing and starting work for our solos to be presented by some of our members at the Malcolm contest on March 20.

SIXTH GRADE….

We are beginning to work full time on our concert band selections for the Malcolm Contest.  We also need to be getting to work on our solos.
