Elementary Student Council Care Packages
Being away from your family over the holidays is hard. Hopefully, these gifts from The Elementary Student Council will brighten the days of the troops who receive them. They are going to three local soldiers that are away from home for the holidays and other troops overseas. The students spoke at a Knights of Columbus meeting and an Auxiliary meeting to asked for donations from these organizations to help with funding. They were so generous and each donated $300. This helped us out tremendously as shipping per box is around $15. This is always a rewarding project that they have done for the past 3 years.
put their Military boxes together and will be shipping those out Friday.

District Food Drives
This year we had food drives at both the Elementary school and the Junior-Senior High. Both students and staff participated and it was a huge success. At the JRH/HS the drive was organized by the FBLA and over 750 food items were donated. They had a competition between classes and the winning classes were the Seniors and the Freshman. At the Elementary, the staff was able to wear jeans for food or monetary donations and they collected 446 items and $200. The contest between the homerooms was won by Mrs. Hodson’s class upstairs and Mrs. Benoit’s class downstairs. All donations at both schools went to the food pantry at St John the Baptist Catholic church here in town. Thank you very much for all who donated and organized this project!
