COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students will be introduced to essential concepts in human anatomy and physiology. Tissue study, cell specialization, the major organ systems and their components, will be studied in some depth. Some disease conditions will be explored in order to illustrate the fine mechanism of balance in the healthy human body. Throughout the course, textbook information will be supplemented by various lab activities, including dissection of specimens. Web and iPad medical interactive resources and other models will be utilized in order to build student interest in the course.
