Senior Kloey Appel completed a 6-foot tall painting that she began working on during the first semester. This is the first of many paintings that will adorn the Pioneer Path hallway. The plan is for students to showcase their creativity and artistic talents by creating paintings that are based on school and community activities. Next year, Kloey plans to attend Washburn University in Topeka Kansas to study psychology.

Creativity and Imagination at Work in Kids Club

Each Friday, the students in Kids Club complete a seasonally appropriate art project.  Not only do these art projects allow the students to use their creativity and imagination, but the projects also help the students work on improving their listening skills and following directions.  We have a wide variety of age levels at Kids Club and each student is always up to the challenge of trying something new and even though we are all doing the same project, each student is unique and their finished product is too. They are proud of their artwork and love to show it off!

“There is no right or wrong when it comes to making art.  Making sure that you have fun is the most important part. Splash a little paint, draw a little line.  Just make sure that you have fun each and every time!” –Mickey Mouse
