MCC&POPP

The students and faculty at FCHS helped raise almost 450 items for The Bridge.  Pictured is the winning homeroom — Mrs. Lloyd and Mrs. Welchert’s seventh and eighth graders.  They brought in 148 items and Mr. Pitt’s eleventh grade homeroom was a close second with 126 items.  The winning homeroom students will get to go to the front of the lunch line each day next week (March 3rd- March 7th).  This event was organized by MCC and POPP.  The event organizers wanted to do a special shout out to Justin Union as the individual who brought in the most items for the cause!!  Pictured with the students in the front center is The Bridge’s Rural Outreach Advocate and Coordinator for Washington and Burt Counties, Jody Koziol.  The Bridge was formerly known as the Crisis Center for Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault.  The Bridge’s mission is to prevent and eliminate violence in the lives of women, children and men, through empowerment, education and social change.  For more information regarding The Bridge and their work, check out their website at http://www.bridgefromviolence.com/
