COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In the classroom section of cooperative education, the students will work on activities that are common to the work situation in general and on activities that are specific to their chosen vocation. The classroom curriculum will be delivered to the student in a manner that can be used by the independent student. The student will work at displaying a positive work ethic, good time management, and positive reaction to job situations. Mode of presentation: lecture, discussion, film, video, Internet, group work, lab work, white board, and chalkboard exercises. Grading procedures: tests, quizzes, papers, essays, class participation, and daily work. Student skills and knowledge to be gained: to display a positive work ethic; to manage time; to respond and react positively to job situations; to assume responsibility for own actions and behavior; to demonstrate appropriate problem solving skills; to work independently; and to gain job seeking skills
