COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Drafting II will continue to use CAD software to develop drafting skills as in Drafting I; however, the drawing will be primarily architectural and civil. A few examples of the drawings represented in this class are as follows; floor plans, details, renderings, landscapes, lighting, elevation views, heating and cooling, electrical, driveways, roads, and bridges. Mode of presentation: lecture, film, video, Internet, group work, student projects, demonstrations, and lab work. Grading procedure: tests, quizzes, lab exercises, and daily work. Student skills and knowledge to be gained: to draw a floor plan of a house; to draw basement plans; to draw elevation views; to draw furniture plans; to draw dimensional plans; to draw plot plans; to draw framing plans; to draw roof plans; and to draw decks and patios.
