COURSE DESCRIPTION:
British Literature explores a variety of genres via short stories and classics such as Shakespearean dramas and The Canterbury Tales. Students will analyze literary devices/techniques, authors and their purpose, and cultural/societal influences. Writing projects include several MLA research papers: expository, compare/contrast, literary analysis, as well as some creative writing. Grammar, usage, vocabulary, and group projects will be incorporated into the course as well.
