COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In Geometry, students will look at the terms and logic of geometry; discover properties of parallel lines, quadrilaterals, polygons, and circles; as well as congruent, non-congruent and similar figures. Different kinds of geometric proofs are investigated. Properties about right triangles are discovered. Formulas for area of polygons and surface area and volume of polyhedron are also used. Basic constructions with compasses and straight edges are taught and work is also done on the computer with Geogebra.
