COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is the lab activity used with the Diversified Occupations class. Students work outside of the school for a minimum of 10 hours per week in a vocational area of their interest. This activity provides real life experiences that are supported by the classroom. Mode of presentation: student projects and lab work. Grading procedures: papers, essays, and lab projects. Student skills and knowledge to be gained: the ability to follow all safety rules; to demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing job situations; to use problem solving skills; to demonstrate the ability to follow directions; to demonstrate dependability; to demonstrate the use of people skills; and to demonstrate honesty.
