Dear Parent(s)/ Guardian(s):
Parent-Teacher conferences will be held at the Junior/Senior High School building. A copy of your student’s grades will be available for families to pick up upon arrival at the HS. There’s no set schedule at the junior-senior high school level; you’re welcome to come to conferences anytime between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18th. It’s highly encouraged that only parents and students attend conferences. If siblings tag along, we request that they remain in the hallway during the conference.
Please note, there’s a meal break for teachers from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm.
Senior parents, EducationQuest will be at the High School on Wednesday, February 18th, to assist you and your family with the universal FAFSA. By state law, all seniors must complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is anticipated to take 10 minutes to complete. If you have not filled out the FAFSA, please consider signing up for a short work session on Wednesday (refer to Mrs. Hernandez’s email sent to students and families). Families may choose to decline to complete the FAFSA. If you wish to decline, please see Mrs. Hernandez to get the form. If you have any further questions, please contact Mrs. Hernandez.
Junior Parents: You should have received the ACT permission form. Your child is required to take the ACT by state law. The test will be at the High School on Thursday, March 26th. Please sign and return the form to the school as soon as possible.
Parent-Teacher Conferences provide an opportunity for parents and students to work with teachers and staff to ensure your child receives the best education we, as a team, can provide. The teachers and I hope that you plan to make conferences a priority. It is only through communication and cooperation that we can assure your student’s success here at the “FORT”. I look forward to seeing you and your student(s) at conferences held on Wednesday, February 18th.
Sincerely,
Dr. Nick Wemhoff
